Have filmmakers gone out of their way to make *horrendously* dire movies this summer?

There are seven? eight? movies on at our local Cinebarre (yummy food-serving cinema) and not ONE of them do I want to see. The only semi-decent one is Harry Potter and even that wasn't good enough to merit seeing a second time.

Seriously. Worst. Movie. Summer. EVAR.

HP was indeed dissapointing. What about Public Enemies with Jonny Depp - I loved that. Maybe its not still showing. We are always behind you guys.

But Julie & Julia comes out this weekend! That seems like the perfect film for a food-serving cinema. And it's Smithie-tastic.

Off topic: Apples vs eggs. Very pretty.

I totally agree. I wanted to take the girls to a movie this afternoon, and there was NOTHING to see here. They have GI Joe on 6 of the 10 screens, HP on one, a Pinoy film on one, and two craptastic other ones. That's it. Even before GI Joe bumped a bunch of films out of the rotation, there wasn't anything I was wanting to see. It's just a bad year.
